WEYBOURNE AIRFIELD
Weybourne Airfield is a small grass airfield on the North Norfolk coast situated by the Muckleburgh Military Collection. All pilots are welcome to land at Weybourne Airfield. No PPR required.
Weybourne Airfield is currently open daily from 10am - 5pm.
A £10 landing donation applies.
After landing, please report to the onsite caravan.
Weybourne Airfield is located at latitude 52.94780 and longitude 1.12320. Nearby other airfields are Langham Airstrip, Manor Farm Airstrip, Northrepps Aerodrome, Ivy Farm Airstrip and Blue Tile Farm Airstrip.
You are welcome to walk to the main museum entrance after landing, standard entry applies.

THE HISTORY OF WEYBOURNE AIRFIELD
RAF Weybourne is a small grass airfield established in 1939 beside the anti-aircraft training camp on the North Norfolk coast. Unlike the larger operational RAF stations in Norfolk, it was never developed into a major bomber or fighter base, remaining a relatively lightly equipped landing ground used for anti-aircraft co-operation.
Units including ‘X’ Flight and ‘T’ Flight of No. 1 Anti-Aircraft Co-operation Unit and later No. 6 AACU reportedly operated from the site, using aircraft and de Havilland Queen Bee radio-controlled target drones to provide practice targets for anti-aircraft gunners.
The airfield’s wartime flying role ended in late 1943 but still remains in active use today.
THE KELLING MODEL FLYING CLUB
The Kelling Model Flying Club was formed in 1980 and is also based at the Muckleburgh Military Collection.
