RAF Weybourne is a small grass airfield established in 1939 beside the anti-aircraft training camp on the North Norfolk coast. Unlike the larger operational RAF stations in Norfolk, it was never developed into a major bomber or fighter base, remaining a relatively lightly equipped landing ground used for anti-aircraft co-operation. The airfield’s wartime flying role ended in late 1943 but still remains in active use today.
