On average, visitors spend 3-4 hours at The Museum.

Some spend much longer - depending on if you are looking to experience a more relaxed or thorough visit.

It is worth noting that our Cafe is located roughly half way through the Museum and is only available upon paid entry.

Whilst we have a number of vehicles and facilities outside, including our children’s play area - the majority of our collection is held inside and so is perfect for a rainy day adventure.

Yes. The Museum also has a limited number of wheelchairs available from the Shop which are loaned on a first come, first served basis for your visit if required. These cannot be reserved in advance and can be requested from the Shop.

Yes, the Museum offers free car parking to all visitors. There is a disabled parking area at the closest point to the Museum and motorbike and bicycle parking is available. Accessible during open hours only.

Photography for personal use is encouraged, however it is not permitted for commercial use.

Please note that The Museum is fortunate to receive a large number of donation offers each year. Whilst all such offers are gratefully welcomed, unfortunately we are sometimes unable to accept every item and loans are only considered in exceptional circumstances.
