Website Content, Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

1. Purpose

The Muckleburgh Military Collection respects the intellectual property rights of others and is committed to ensuring that all material published on its website, social media channels and marketing materials is used lawfully and responsibly.

This policy complements our GDPR Policy and should be read alongside our Website Terms & Conditions.

2. Ownership of Content

Unless otherwise stated, all text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos and other content published by The Muckleburgh Military Collection are:

  • licensed to The Muckleburgh Military Collection

  • supplied with the permission of the copyright owner; or

  • believed, after reasonable enquiries, to be available for lawful commercial use.

3. Third-Party Images

The Muckleburgh Military Collection will make reasonable efforts to ensure that images obtained from third parties have been appropriately licensed or permission has been obtained before publication.

4. Customer and User Submitted Content

Where customers, suppliers or third parties provide photographs, testimonials or other materials, they confirm that:

5. Copyright Complaints Procedure

If any individual or organisation believes material published by The Muckleburgh Military Collection infringes their copyright, they should contact us providing:

  • identification of the copyrighted work;

  • the location of the material complained of;

  • evidence of ownership or authority to act for the copyright owner.

Upon receipt of a credible complaint, The Muckleburgh Military Collection will:

  • investigate the claim;

6. Good Faith Publication

The Muckleburgh Military Collection endeavours to ensure that all material published has been obtained lawfully.

If any material is identified as having been published in error, without the necessary permission or licence, The Muckleburgh Military Collection will remove the material as soon as reasonably practicable and will investigate the circumstances to prevent recurrence.

Nothing in this policy shall be interpreted as an admission of liability where material is removed voluntarily or as a precautionary measure.

7. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if changes occur in legislation, ICO guidance, copyright law or Company procedures.
