The Restoration Team Mission Statement:

“Our aim is to bring to life military vehicles of all eras in their authentic state
for the benefit of future generations”

The Muckleburgh Military Collection is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of military vehicles from all eras.

It is the aim of the Museum to ensure each of the vehicles held by the Collection is kept in full running order and available for driving displays,
exhibitions and historical film and video production.

The Restoration Team are headed by Barry who has a long and varied career on vehicle maintenance and restoration.
He is supported by a team of 4 full-time and volunteer craftsmen whose dedication to the projects being undertaken is praiseworthy.

In addition to numerous minor ongoing restoration projects, work is continuing on the complete restoration of a Comet Mk I tank, details of
which can be seen in the accompanying photographs.

The engine and gear box have recently been completely refurbished and are now back in the vehicle in running order.
The next step is the overhaul of the turret and main armourment.

There are only a few remaining Comets in working order and the dedication of the Muckleburgh Team will enable future
generations to view what is an iconic vehicle from the WWII in full working condition.
