Exterior Exhibits

Whilst most of the collection is under cover, some of the largest items for the moment must remain outside.

These are located in front of the Collection Entrance and on the west side. There is a Harrier "Jump Jet" aswell as an RAF Meteor NF-11, also a 3.7 ACK-ACK Gun the type used when the camp was an Anti-Aircraft Practice establishment.

A Thunderbird Missile and in the foreground "Long Tom" 8" Howitzer used in the Vietnam War

There is also a 12Pdr Naval Gun used extensively in World War II, our example was recovered from an armed trawler and is in full working order, being used for ceremonial firings. A "Crocodile" version of a Churchill Tank, so named due to it's flame-throwing role. The fuel equipment towed behind has long since gone, but the flame gun and it's rear connector can still be seen.
