The Anti-Aircraft Hall

The Hall is headed by a "state of readiness" board, showing the comparison of the RAF's strength in 1940 to that of the German Luftwaffe. Underneath is the story of the New Zealand fighter pilot, Alan Deere who was forced to bale out of his Spitfire nine times. After the War, he commanded the nearby RAF Coltishall retiring as an Air Commodore.

The Rheinmetal Ack-Ack gun captured in the Falklands Campaign

Guns on display here include a Rheinmetal used by the Argentine forces in the Falklands conflict and one of the 400 ZPU's used by the Iraqis to defend Kuwait City during their occupation in the Gulf War.
